Services

 

REPAIR AUTHORIZATION

I hereby authorize Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC to inspect, diagnose, maintain, service, test, and repair the vehicle identified above and to furnish all necessary labor, parts, materials, equipment, and supplies required to complete the authorized work.

I understand that diagnostic procedures may require partial disassembly, testing, and operation of my vehicle.

 

Estimates

  • All estimates are based upon visible conditions and information available at the time of inspection.
  • Additional problems may be discovered during diagnosis or repair.
  • The Shop will make a reasonable effort to obtain authorization before performing additional billable work.
  • Estimates are not guarantees of final repair costs.

 

 

Diagnostic Fees

Diagnostic inspections, troubleshooting, electrical testing, scan-tool testing, labor, and evaluation procedures are billable services regardless of whether repairs are approved or completed.

Authorization To Operate Vehicle

The customer authorizes Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC employees and representatives to operate the vehicle for:

  • Diagnostic purposes
  • Road testing
  • Quality-control inspections
  • Verification of repairs
  • Emissions testing
  • State inspection requirements, where applicable

 

Parts And Materials

Father & Son Auto Repairs LLC may install:

  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Parts
  • Aftermarket Parts
  • Remanufactured Parts
  • Used Parts when approved by the customer

Parts prices and availability are subject to supplier conditions and may change without notice.

We will make removed parts available upon request unless we must return them to the supplier or manufacturer for warranty purposes.

 

Payment Terms

Payment is due immediately upon receiving the vehicle and prior to the release of the vehicle from the possession of Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC.

The customer agrees to pay all charges associated with the repair order, including but not limited to:

  • Labor charges
  • Diagnostic fees
  • Parts and materials
  • Shop supplies
  • Storage fees
  • Towing charges
  • Taxes
  • Additional authorized services

Accepted forms of payment include:

  • Cash
  • Debit Cards
  • Credit Cards
  • Approved Electronic Payments

The Shop reserves the right to retain possession of the vehicle until all charges have been paid in full, as permitted by North Carolina law.

Returned checks, chargebacks, disputed transactions, or failed electronic payments may result in additional fees permitted by law.

 

Late payment and storage fees

If payment is not made when due:

  • A late fee of $25.00 may be assessed on any unpaid balance.
  • Interest may be charged at 1.5% per month (18% annually) or the maximum rate permitted by North Carolina law, whichever is less.
  • The customer shall be responsible for all reasonable collection costs, court costs, and attorney's fees permitted by law.
  • Storage fees of $35.00 per day may begin seven (7) days after notification that repairs have been completed.
  • The Shop may exercise mechanic's lien rights and other legal remedies available under North Carolina law.

 

Limited Repair Warranty

Labor Warranty

Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC warrants repair labor for Three (3) Months or Twenty Thousand (12,000) Miles, whichever occurs first, from the date of service.

Parts Warranty

Parts are covered solely by the manufacturer's warranty and are subject to all manufacturer terms, limitations, and exclusions.

Warranty Coverage

This warranty applies only to repairs specifically listed on the original repair invoice.

Warranty Exclusions

Warranty coverage does not apply to failures resulting from:

  • Abuse or misuse
  • Neglect or lack of maintenance
  • Racing or competition use
  • Off-road use
  • Accidents or collisions
  • Fire damage
  • Flood damage
  • Natural disasters
  • Unauthorized modifications
  • Tampering by others
  • Repairs performed by another repair facility
  • Normal wear and tear

Warranty Claim Requirements

To obtain warranty service, the customer must:

  1. Present the original repair invoice.
  2. Return the vehicle to Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC for inspection.
  3. Allow the Shop a reasonable opportunity to diagnose and repair the covered condition.

Repairs performed elsewhere without prior authorization may void warranty coverage.

 

Vehicle storage policy and fees

Vehicles left on the premises after repairs or diagnostics are completed may incur daily storage fees. Please review our policy below:

  • A storage fee of $35.00 per day will begin accruing seven (7) business days after notification that service is complete or authorization is declined.
  • Vehicles will not be released until all diagnostic charges, repair costs, and accrued storage fees are settled in full.
  • Vehicles remaining unclaimed beyond thirty (30) days may be deemed abandoned and subject to a mechanic’s lien or disposal in accordance with North Carolina state law.
  • Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC is not liable for loss or damage to vehicles or personal belongings left inside stored vehicles due to causes beyond our reasonable control.

Storage fees

Because of limited lot capacity, you must collect completed vehicles promptly. Please note our storage terms:

  • A storage fee of $35.00 per day applies starting seven (7) days after notice of repair completion or decision not to proceed with repairs.
  • Vehicles will remain in the custody of Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC until all diagnostic, labor, parts, and storage charges are paid in full.
  • Unclaimed vehicles left on the property for over thirty (30) days are subject to mechanic's lien proceedings and legal disposal pursuant to North Carolina general statutes.
  • The shop cannot assume liability for personal belongings left inside vehicles parked or stored on our premises.

Mechanic's Lien Disclosure

North Carolina law provides repair facilities with certain lien rights for unpaid labor, diagnostics, parts, materials, towing charges, storage fees, and other authorized services.

By signing this agreement, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

  1. Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC may retain possession of the vehicle until all authorized charges have been paid in full.

  2. Failure to pay amounts due may result in storage fees, collection costs, and enforcement of lien rights as permitted by law.

  3. If charges remain unpaid, Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC may pursue remedies available under North Carolina mechanic's lien statutes, including lawful procedures to recover amounts owed.

  4. The customer remains responsible for all charges incurred before any release, transfer, sale, or disposal authorized by law.

  5. Any mechanic's lien enforcement will be conducted in accordance with applicable North Carolina statutes and legal notice requirements.

 

Limitation of Liability

Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC shall not be liable for:

  • Pre-existing vehicle conditions
  • Failure of unrelated vehicle components
  • Manufacturer defects
  • Delays caused by parts shortages
  • Supplier delays
  • Acts of God
  • Circumstances beyond the Shop's reasonable control

The Shop's liability for any claim related to services performed shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific repair giving rise to the claim.


PERSONAL PROPERTY

Customers are responsible for removing all personal property from their vehicles.

Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property left in the vehicle.

 

Dispute Resolution

The parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute, claim, or disagreement through good-faith communication and negotiation.

If the parties cannot resolve a dispute informally, any legal action shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction in the State of North Carolina.

The prevailing party in any action relating to unpaid invoices or enforcement of this agreement may recover court costs, collection costs, and reasonable attorney's fees to the extent permitted by law.

No dispute shall relieve the customer of the obligation to pay any undisputed amounts due under the repair order.

 

Customer Acknowledgment

I certify that I am the owner of the vehicle described above, or that I am authorized by the owner to authorize repairs.

I acknowledge that:

✓ I authorize the repairs and services described in the repair order.

✓ I understand the warranty limitations.

✓ I understand the payment requirements.

✓ I understand the late-payment penalties.

✓ I understand the storage fees.

✓ I understand the dispute resolution provisions.

✓ I understand the mechanic's lien rights described in this agreement.

✓ I agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions contained herein.

 

Father & Son Auto Repairs, LLC
Payment is due at the time of vehicle pickup.
Warranty: 3 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
